Final Graduate Studio - 2013
Masters Class | Immersion Studio
INSTRUCTORS: Rick Joy, Peter Stutchbury, & Richard Leplastrier
GROUP: David Remy, Matt Latham, Liz Pettit, & Sara Zezulka
The Masters Class studio was an intensive week long immersion design studio set in Telluride, Colorado.
Each day was broken into lessons focusing on capturing sense of place in design, followed by sketching, studio group work, and an evening presentation.
After the immersive week in Telluride, we returned to CU Denver and our groups continued our bathhouse design.

PROJECT: Yampa Valley Feeds | Hayden Granary
STUDIO: Graduate School 3 - Preservation Studio 2012
PROJECT GOAL: Bring Yampa Valley Feeds into the next cycle of its life by renovating what was once a grain storage facility, into a community center. There shall be a clear identity between new and old. Both new and old elements shall serve as a way to engage users in a tactile way, and help them understand the history of the granary. Where the granary once served as a place for grain, it is now a place for people. Much in the way grain was moved and stored, the next life cycle of the granary will allow for people to move through the space, creating places of gathering (holding), and allowing visual and physical access to the mechanisms that where once used as integral technology of the granary.

Grad Comprehensive Studio - 2012
PROJECT PARTNER: Sean McMurray
PROJECT: mixed use
LOCATION: Uptown Denver, CO
STATUS: Unbuilt
Comprehensive studio is a class that takes a design problem and works to solve it in its entirety. From the design of systems, structure, and facades, to social engagement, traffic flow and street presence. My partner and I worked to design a building that address the need for multi-family housing that can accommodate families that wish to live in the cities. Strategies for our design include maximized social engagement spaces with other dwellers, treating the roof as a 'yard' and extension of the home, and creating an urban living space that meets the criteria of a traditionally suburban home.
